Windsurf in Málaga

Isobaras teaches windsurfing across the province of Málaga. Our operating area covers three zones with very different winds: the easterly of Rincón de la Victoria (to the east), the westerly of Torremolinos and the calmer area of Marbella (to the west). Based on the day's forecast, we pick the spot that offers the best conditions for your level and goals.

There's no fixed spot: we tell you on WhatsApp where to go on the day or the day before, depending on the forecast. This flexibility lets us maximise conditions for your lesson: more wind for progression or calmer waters for beginners, depending on what you need. Gear and instructor travel with you to the chosen spot.

Windsurfing in Málaga is enjoyed from March to November, with spring and autumn being the best times due to wind regularity. In summer the afternoon westerly allows lessons in Torremolinos and Marbella, while the spring easterly favours Rincón de la Victoria.

Wind conditions in Málaga

Málaga has two main wind regimes: the easterly, which blows east to west and gives soft, steady conditions in Rincón, and the westerly, which comes west to east and is stronger in Torremolinos. This variety lets us choose the perfect spot for your level every day.

How you progress with us

We start on land with stance on the board and sail handling. Then we move to the water with smaller sails to learn sailing downwind and upwind. As you gain confidence, we increase sail size and work on transitions, upwind sailing and first manoeuvres.
