Before entering the water

The briefing is never skipped

No exceptions: every session starts on land. We check the gear, the forecast, the spot and the rules before anyone gets wet.

01

Gear check

We visually check every piece before it leaves. Kites, lines, boards, harnesses and helmets.

02

Wind and sea forecast

We confirm the wind window, sea state and whether the spot is right for the group's level that day.

03

Spot rules

Currents, swimming areas, right-of-way rules, distress signals and landmarks to stay within range.

04

Emergency technique

Self-rescue and what to do if gear fails. Always explained before entering, even with advanced students.

Minors and families

Specific protocol for kids

With minors we improvise nothing. Smaller ratios, appropriate water areas and the instructor always in the water.

  • Maximum ratio 1 instructor per 4 minors
  • Instructor in the water at all times
  • Flotation vest mandatory up to age 12
  • Calm, shallow-water spots
  • Written parental consent
  • Communication with families before and after

Activity insurance

Covered from minute one

All sessions include public liability and accident insurance. It's not an add-on, it's part of the price.

Public liability

Covers third-party damage that may occur during the activity. All participants, all sports.

Personal accidents

Covers medical assistance and costs resulting from an accident during sports practice.

No small print

Insurance is active from the moment the briefing starts, not just in the water. If you have questions, just ask us.

FAQ

What people ask us

We always go out with a favourable forecast. If conditions change during the session, the instructor decides whether to continue or stop. Safety always takes priority over completing the session.
Yes, it's required for kitesurf and wingfoil. For surf and paddle in shallow areas it's recommended but can be assessed case by case, especially with kids. Ask us.
We don't recommend practising with a fever, dizziness or under medication affecting coordination. Tell us before the session and we'll reschedule at no cost.
School gear is designed to withstand learning. In case of breakage through clear misuse we assess it together; under normal learning conditions, wear is on us. Ask us if you have doubts before starting.
