The summer westerly — which blows stronger here than in spots to the east — lets you start planing, sharpen your upwind sailing and try more advanced manoeuvres. The beach is wide and the launch into the water is easy, making lessons run smoothly without wasted time.
Just 15 minutes from Málaga via the A-7, Torremolinos combines the best of both worlds: stronger wind when the westerly comes in and a very convenient location if you're staying on the western Costa del Sol. If you're a beginner, we can also start here with smaller sails when the westerly is moderate.
