Why come here

Kitesurf in Marbella

Marbella is our most laid-back plan: we ride the kite zone at Playa de los Monteros, a roughly 300-metre stretch that Marbella city council equipped together with the Marbella Kite Club, with signage, a buoy channel and a gear rinse area. Usually calmer waters and a perfect setting for relaxed sessions, families and anyone spending a few days in the area. One thing to know: local regulations keep the kite zone closed from 15 June to 15 September, when the buoys prioritise swimmers; outside those dates it is our most accessible spot in the western part of the province.

We tailor the session to you and your group: if it is your first contact, we go step by step from the sand; if you already ride, we make the most of the buoyed Los Monteros channel. We bring all the gear — kite, board, wetsuit, harness and safety — so you do not need to rent anything locally. If your visit falls in high summer, we tell you in advance and suggest Torremolinos or Rincón de la Victoria, where kiting is available those months.

Getting there

Marbella is southwest of Málaga, about 40 minutes via the A-7/AP-7. The kite zone at Playa de los Monteros is signposted and has a gear rinse area; we confirm the meeting point by WhatsApp based on the wind and, in summer, suggest an alternative spot.

FAQ

Kitesurf in Marbella: what people ask

Yes, outside the swimming season (15 Jun–15 Sep). Message us with your visit dates and your level and we set up the session at Los Monteros or, in summer, at another spot. We help in Spanish and English.
Not at Playa de los Monteros: local regulations keep the kite zone closed between 15 June and 15 September to protect swimmers. During those dates we take you to Torremolinos or Rincón de la Victoria instead, where kiting is available.
Yes. The waters are usually calmer and the zone is buoyed and signposted; if anyone prefers, there is also surf or paddle the same day.
